Story Board

 

  1. First scene: During this scene we will be filming a BMW, more specifically an e36 M3, for the commercial. This shot will be an extreme close up of the back wheel and muffler of the car. This shot will be filmed inside the warehouse. We want to do this shot to show the performance of the car because BMW focuses so heavily on the performance of the car. 
  2. Second scene: We will get a shot of the car/cars rolling out of the warehouse getting different shots and then get it driving onto the road.  
  3. Third scene: we get a shot of the car driving on a separate road away from the warehouse with shots of it driving by quickly. 
  4. Fourth scene: In this scene it will focus on the speedometer on a close up to show the performance and speed in away people can really understand of what the car is capable of  
  5. Fifth scene: In the fifth scene the car hits its climax speed for the commercial to show it in action also advertising its performance to people who like speed and a look at what the car will look like to others while driving at a mid-range shot 
  6. Sixth scene: This scene will be of the car on a high up ledge shining in the sun. The camera will then flip up to the bright sun and the slogan “Sheer Driving Pleasure” or “Ultimate Driving Machine” will then fade onto the screen. Each scene will last 5 seconds and have music in the background.

  Right now. we are finished up with filming and are in the process of editing our short-film. With time being "wasted" I decided to talk to you about sound.  The role of sound in the short-film is significant as it brings a sense of authenticity to the film and assists the audience in understanding the plot. Firstly, the location and sound settings contribute to the realism of the movie. For instance, the sounds of the beach or forest establish the scene and context. Secondly, the sound adds to the credibility of the movie. For example, including the sound of cutlery when characters are eating creates a realistic environment. The sound of water glasses clinking on the table is also essential. Lastly, sound is used to provide clues to the audience about the plot.  How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? One convention we challenged is mental health. Through our music video "Stressed Out" we were able to challenge and show how teenagers in the modern age challenge a mental illness, even though all the hardships they go through. To challenge this idea, we showed the past and how much time has changed. It showed how much easier life was when we were younger and the struggles that can happen in such a short amount of time. This can represent the lower social class going through hard times throughout life. Money can be hard to get as time goes on and jobs can be harder to find, this can cause depression and emotional despair as life goes on. Production Blog: The exporting issue was big problem

 Welcome to another blog. Today was stressful. The deadline was fast approaching, and I had been working tirelessly to perfect every detail of the film. However, my efforts were thwarted when I encountered an error message during the export process. I thought i could quickly fix it but it wasn't the case. I tried everything I knew, but nothing worked. That's when I decided to reach out to a friend who was an experienced editor. I was hesitant to ask for help as I didn't want to burden him. I also wanted to see if I could do it on my own, but no luck. I knew I had to do something. He was more than happy to help and was able to quickly identify the issue. After a few adjustments, he was able to successfully export the film. I was so grateful for his help. It was a relief to know that I had someone I could rely on when things got tough.
